Mt.Kailash & Lake Manasarovar 15-Day Worship Tour
Mt.Kailash, also named Kangrinboqe, is a sacred mountain in many religions. In Sanskrit language, it is called Girosan. The northern foothills of the Gangyan Peak are the birthplace of the Lion Spring River, which is the upper section of Indus River. It is said that Bon Religion has originated from this mountain. Hinduism considers the mountain to be the residence of Shiva, the center of the world. Jainism believes that the mountain is the home of its ancestral, Reishaba, while the Tibetan Buddhists think it is the home of the victorious king, representing the unmeasured happiness of the faithful who have been here for many years. The mountain ranges of Mt.Kailash cross the northern Kunlun mountains and the southern Himalayas, shape like a giant dragon lying on the vast plateau of Ali Region in west Tibet. The main peak of Mt.Kailash at 6656m rises above the plateaus of Ali like a great pyramid. To worship or rotate Mt.Kailash, Lake Manasarovar cannot be missed. It is located 35 km east of Pulan in Ali Region, just south of the peak of Mount.Kangrinboqe. Since ancient times, Buddhists regarded it as the "world center" and "holy land". It is not only the second largest natural lake, but also one the the three holy lakes in Tibet. "Manasarovar", in Tibetan language means "the unbeatable jade lake". It is said that Manasarovar is the holiest lake, and its water can clean the troubles of mind.
